Sub Contracts Engineer

Main Purpose of Job: Administer the Sub-contracts function Provide support to the business assets and service streams Assist in achieving best value sourcing of subcontract services Assist contract holders and sponsors with contract management responsibilities Assist in providing effective Supply Chain rationalisation and management Support the assets in delivering their safety, production and cost saving targets Functional Roles & Responsibilities: Represent the JV impartially Promote and follow ethical behaviour as per Conflict of Interest Policy Promote performance behaviour Draft tender board note and present to supply chain council tender boards as directed by the Supply Chain Manager Administer the tender and award of subcontracts including ad-hoc Minor Service Contract formations Administer all subcontracts from call off to invoicing Monitors subcontract performance including chairing of performance review meetings as required Monitors subcontract spend against approved contract values Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual deliverables and obligations Involved in all Subcontract activities as detailed in the Management System Ensure that best value is obtained in all reimbursable subcontract activities Advise in the production of subcontract costs for invoicing Support Contract Administrators on subcontract invoicing matters Liaise with Legal Departments Proactively initiate & contribute to the delivery of Business Improvement Strategies Assist Supply Chain Manager in rationalising sub contracts base Supplies advice and support to Engineering Function regarding subcontracting strategy as required Qualifications Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar Law based degree Suitable Experience in a commercial/contracting environment Team player Good communicator
