If you like, you can go ahead and begin the process by registering on our website. This gives you the facility to upload your CV and begin to apply for vacancies until you are able to come in and complete the registration process.

Please take along any certificates of your relevant qualifications / medical / survival / first aid or any other documents which are appropriate to the type of position you wish to apply for.
You will be asked to provide us with details of two referees we can contact for a reference - ideally one from a previous employer if you have worked before. A tutor is also acceptable. It is best if you can contact these people prior to your appointment to ensure they are hapy to provide you with a reference.
What happens on the day of my appointment?
When you arrive at Ruby House, take the elevator to the third floor and make your way through to our reception area. You will be asked to fill in a short registration form detailing personal information and to provide any certificates, forms of ID, and references.
Once your form has been completed and handed back to a member of staff, you may be asked to complete a couple of short assessments on packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This is routine for many new candidates as it allows us to assess your IT skills and abilities. These quick tests will be carried out on a computer in one of our offices. In addition, we offer free access to online training in a multitude of software packages.
Once you have completed the registration form and any assessments, you will be met by your consultant who will go through your CV with you and discuss your career goals and aspirations. Our recruitment consultants are qualified in their specialist areas and will be more than happy to discuss job opportunities that you have viewed prior to your appointment or vacancies which we think might be of interest to you. We appreciate that jobs searching can be difficult and stressful, so our consultants will also be happy to discuss any questions and concerns you may have.
Once registered, what should I do?
During your initial registration appointment, any current vacancies that are of interest to you will have been discussed. If agreed, your CV will be submitted by our consultants for any relevant positions and you will be updated of any progress. One the main benefits of joining Raeburn is that we approach you with jobs that we think may be of interest to you. If this is the case we will contact you immediately. We may, however, also ask that you regularly check our website for any vacancy updates - and contact us if see anything that you feel may be suitable for you.

What information is required when registering with Raeburn?
As a result of recent changes in legislation, for candidates wishing to register for work, we are required to check and copy the following documents:
- Original references where available (alternatively the names of 2 referees we can contact)
- Qualifications, where appropriate
We also require a form of identification as detailed in the below list:
- A passport*
(*further information on what constitutes stand-alone documentation is available from Raeburn)
Or any two items from below
- A document giving your permanent National Insurance Number and name. This could be a P45, P60, National Insurance card, or a letter from a Government agency.
- A full birth certificate issued in the United Kingdom, which includes the names of the holder's parents OR
- A birth certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland; OR
- A Certificate of registration or naturalisation stating that the holder is a British citizen; OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder which indicates that the person named in it can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom, or has no time limit on their stay; OR
- An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the person named in it can stay indefinitely in the United Kingdom, or has not time limit on their stay; OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder, which indicates that the person named in it can stay in the United Kingdom, and this allows them to do the type of work being offered; OR
- An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to the holder with an endorsement indicating that the person named in it can stay in the United Kingdom, and this allows to do the type of work being offered
- A work permit or other approval to take employment that has been issued by Work Permits UK
- A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question' OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder confirming that the person named in it is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question.
Or any two items from below
- A work permit or other approval to take employment that has been issued by Work Permits UK
And
- A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that the holder is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question
OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to the holder confirming that the person named in it is able to stay in the United Kingdom and can take the work permit employment in question.
